Investing.com – Saudi Arabia stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

Saudi Arabia’s closing session saw an increase of 0.17% that brought it up to its 5-year highest.

The worst performers of the session were Al Sorayai Trading&Industrial Group (SE:), which fell 9.90% or 13.20 points to trade at 120.20 at the close. Wafrah for Industry and Development Company SJSC, which declined by 5.32% to trade at 138.80, lost 7.80 points and was the lowest performing session. Cement, Hail! The Company (SE) fell 4.08%, or 0.64 points, to 15.04.

The Saudi Arabia Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing stock by 142 percent to 51, and ended the day unchanged at 15 p.m.

Crude oil was 0.87 off to $76.56/barrel for November delivery. Brent oil, which was due for delivery December, fell 0.85% (or 0.69) to $80.39/barrel, and the December Gold Futures contract rose by 0.06% (1.00), to trade at $1762.80/troy ounce.

EUR/SAR increased 0.04% from 4.3354 to 4.3354 while USD/SAR rose by 0.01% from 3.7504.

US Dollar Index Futures were 0.12% lower at 94.160
