LONDON, (Reuters) – Last week, spending on British payment cards rose to 100%, up from 95% a previous week, according to data released on Thursday.

According to separate data from the Office for National Statistics, output-per-hour, which measures productivity in an economy, increased 0.1% in Q2. This was 1.7% more than the average for 2019.

Economists believe that productivity data will be affected by the effects from the pandemic.
