UK firms raise their inflation expectations

LONDON (Reuters – British companies raised their inflation expectations in the coming year, according to a Bank of England survey. It is monitoring closely for any signs that a recent price rise might be more long-lasting than predicted.

The BoE announced Thursday that year-ahead price inflation is expected to rise to 3.5% for the three months ending September 2022 from 3.2% in August.
