Earnings season kicks off with the major banks

Wall Street finished Friday with another volatile week, however corporate earnings season will kick into gear next week. This could give some direction to market.

Jim Cramer of CNBC stated, “The week rebounded from an early sale-off and was strong enough to enter the head of earnings seasons with a decent headof steam. So let’s head there and look at what is there to see.”

Cramer offers his take on big corporate news that will be coming up next week. Factset estimates revenue and earnings per share projections.

Monday: AMC at the center of attention

The early signs for the box office performanceShares of shares could see wild Monday moves due to strong opinions of James Bond’s new film. AMC Entertainment HoldingsCramer agreed.

“One thing’s certain. If Bond succeeds, AMC CEO Adam Aron is going to tweet about the box-office numbers. Cramer stated that Adam is the type of man who doesn’t hesitate to tell his shareholders how they will be treated if the current trajectory continues.

Tuesday: Earnings from Fastenal

Fastenal

  • Earnings release for Q3 2021: Before the opening bell. Conference call at 10 a.m.
  • 42 cents projected EPS
  • Projection: Revenue of $1.54 Billion

Cramer stated that Fastenal, although it may have a market value of $30 billion, is an indicator for international industrial growth.

Wednesday: JPMorgan Blackrock, Delta Earnings

JPMorgan

  • Earnings release for Q3 2021: Before the opening bell. Conference call at 8:30 a.m.
  • Projected Earnings Per Share: $3.01
  • Projectioned revenue of $29.8 trillion

It’s difficult to predict how the market will respond to JPMorgan earnings, when they are revealed Wednesday. Although this is a company with a solid management team, it’s not likely to produce extraordinary numbers. Will they justify the price increase? Cramer stated that this is not the case often.

BlackRock

  • Earnings release for Q3 2021: Before the opening bell. Conference call at 8:30 a.m.
  • Projected Earnings Per Share: $9.57
  • Projection: Revenues of $4.8 billion

“This massive asset-gatherer will almost certainly have an enormous quarter. BlackRock, I consider a sainted share. This is the stock to invest in if you’re looking for something to trade. He said that the reverence is amazing here.

Delta Air Lines

  • Earnings release for Q3 2021: Before the opening bell. Conference call at 10 a.m.
  • Projected earnings per share: 17c
  • Estimated Revenue: $8.4 Billon

The airlines are always talking. They won’t stop talking. Cramer stated that even though Delta will report on Wednesday morning, there will be many people surprised by how bullish these people are.”

Thursday: Additional bank earnings along with Domino’s Pizza, Walgreens and more

Morgan Stanley

  • Earnings release for Q3 2021: Before the opening bell. Conference call at 8:30 a.m.
  • Projectioned earnings: $1.69
  • Projection: Revenue of $13.9 billion

Wells Fargo

  • Earnings release for Q3 2021: Before the opening bell. Conference call at 11:30 a.m.
  • Projectioned earnings: $1.00
  • Projection: Revenue of $18.2 Billion

“I bet Morgan Stanley’s will look amazing, and Wells Fargo’s won’t be nearly as terrible as it was before. Cramer stated that this is good news for them both.

Bank of America

  • Release of Q3 2021 earnings: Prior to the opening bell. Conference Call: 9:00 a.m.
  • Projected Earnings Per Share (EPS): 71 Cents
  • Projectioned Revenue: $21.7 Billion

Citigroup

  • Release of Q3 2021 earnings: Prior to the opening bell. Conference Call: 8:30 a.m.
  • Projectioned earnings: $1.73
  • Projection: Revenue of $17.1 billion

We also receive reports from Citigroup and Bank of America. Citigroup is known to be perennially low. It doesn’t look like that will change anytime soon. Bank of America might see real earnings growth because the long-term interest rate is rising. That’s why they need to push that needle.

Domino’s Pizza

  • Earnings release for Q3 2021: Before the opening bell. Conference call at 10 a.m.
  • Projected Earnings Per Share: $3.11
  • Estimated Revenue: $1.03 trillion

Cramer claimed that “I think this juggernaut is going to beat numbers again” because the Delta version made people settle down in their houses again.

Walgreens Boots Alliance

  • Release of Q4 2021 Earnings: Prior to the Opening Bell; Conference Call: 8:30 AM
  • Projectioned earnings: $1.02
  • Projectioned Revenue: $33.03 Billion

The stock is so low that it almost looks like it’s going up. Positive news can send the stock higher but I don’t know what it could be,” he stated.

Friday: J.B. Hunt earnings and Goldman

Goldman Sachs

  • Release of Q3 2021 Earnings: Prior to the Opening Bell; Conference Call: 10:30 A.M.
  • Projectioned earnings: $10.14
  • Projectioned revenue of $11.7 billion

I expect a wonderful one. Expenses under control. Good wealth management. The fixed income is very cool. You can read more about it here. Goldman’s stock tracks earnings so don’t be afraid to take a look at it if it isn’t. Cramer stated that it was a fool’s game.

J.B. Hunt Transport Services

  • Earnings release for Q3 2021: Before the opening bell. Conference call at 10 a.m.
  • Projectioned Earnings Per Share: $1.78
  • Projection: Revenue of $3.02 Billion

We hope they will be able to explain the problems with trucking driver recruitment. “Finding drivers has been a problem,” he stated.
