ROME, (Reuters) – The Prime Minister of Italy said Friday that he believed the Group of 20 rich nations meeting in October would result in a strong commitment by the World Trade Organisation to reform.

Mario Draghi stated at a Rome conference that trade must be “open, fair, and transparent” to allow consumers, workers, as well as companies to reap the benefits of it.

He said that G20 had to tackle protectionism in health products. This is essential to prevent future pandemics.
