WASHINGTON (Reuters), – U.S. Treasury secretary Janet Yellen stated on Thursday that she was happy the Senate is moving towards suspending the debt limit, but added that the United States has been increasingly affected by a debt ceiling.

According to her, “It has led to a series o politically dangerous conflicts which have caused Americans as well as global markets to ask whether America really cares about paying its bills.” She spoke to CNN during an interview.
