(Reuters) – A magnitude 6.1 earthquake struck close to Naalehu in Hawaii, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

According to the USGS, the quake occurred at depth 17.1km and was located about 29 km from Naalehu.

According to the U.S. Tsunami warning system, there wasn’t a tsunami alert after the earthquake.
