[ad_1]
SHANGHAI (Reuters). China Evergrande Group is currently facing the biggest challenge in its history in the public debt market. This distressed developer has to find funds in order to fund what could prove to be China’s most significant restructuring.
On Monday, bond coupon payments in excess of $148 million will be due. This is after the company failed to make its $47.5million bond interest payment for its 9.5% March 2020 dollar bond. The company also missed 83.5 million coupon payments in the week before.
The developer doesn’t have any onshore or offshore bonds due this year. However, the company must make coupon payments of $500 million for offshore bonds.
Below is a listing of Evergrande’s future coupon payments for its offshore and onshore bonds.
