China is currently investigating methods and means of declaring and securing crypto activity forever. According to a tweet from Wu Blockchain, China’s swift decision on virtual currencies could possibly call for judicial interpretations in the future.

Based on the status of the investigation, the country’s current laws that term all commercial activities involving crypto as illegal cannot be applied at the moment. The government is seeking further interpretation of the prior regulation by the courts.

China has also suspended all inbound and export crypto trading operations in China since last month. China has also stopped issuing tokens. Chinese citizens can no longer trade with or perform any crypto-related activities.

This crypto-unfriendly Chinese decision came in the same period as bans on all cryptocurrency exchanges. This caused tension, and created a negative feeling among the crypto community. Caijing Magazine, a Chinese-based company, stated that the removal of exchanges in China will silence criminal activity.
