Emerson to merge software units with AspenTech in $11 billion deal By Reuters

(Reuters) – Industrial-automation systems maker Emerson (NYSE:) Electric Co said on Monday it would merge its software units with smaller rival Aspen Technology (NASDAQ:) in a deal for about $11 billion.

According to the company, this cash-and stock deal will be for $160 per AspenTech Share.
