United States has lost AI battle to China, Pentagon’s ex-software chief says By Reuters

LONDON, (Reuters) – The United States is already losing the battle for artificial intelligence to China. China’s advances in cyber capabilities are leading the way towards global dominance. This was disclosed by the Financial Times by the former chief software officer at the Pentagon.

Nicolas Chaillan was the Pentagon’s original chief software officer. He resigned to protest the slow pace at which technological change in the military had been taking place.

We have no fighting chance in China for the next 15-20 years. Right now, it’s already a done deal; it is already over in my opinion,” he told the FT.
