© Reuters. Stocks in the United States are lower after close of trade. Dow Jones Industrial Average is down 0.3%Investing.com – U.S. stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.
At the close at NYSE the index was down 0.34% while it lost 0.24%. The index also fell 0.14%.

Intel Corporation (NASDAQ 🙂 fell by 2.38%, or 1.27 points, to close at 52.17. Amgen Inc (NASDAQ:) fell 2.33%, or 4.81 points, to close at 201.89 Verizon Communications Inc (NYSE: ) fell 1.63%, or 0.85 points, to 51.33
The top performers on the S&P 500 were MGM Resorts International (NYSE:) which rose 9.61% to 48.69, VF Corporation (NYSE:) which was up 4.22% to settle at 72.30 and Ford Motor Company (NYSE:) which gained 3.68% to close at 15.64.
HP Inc (NYSE :), which fell 4.08% to 26,55 in late-trade, Citrix Systems Inc(NASDAQ:), which dropped 3.94% at 90.95, and Micron Technology Inc. (NASDAQ :), which declined 3.61% to close at 66.72.
The top-performing NASDAQ Composite companies were NRX Pharmaceuticals Inc, which rose 61.06% up to 10.92 and Tiptree Inc. (NASDAQ:), which rose 32.28% to settle in at 14.220. Nutriband Inc (NASDAQ:), which saw a 31.08% increase to close at 9.70
These were the worst performers Revance The (NASDAQ:), which fell 25.09% to 20,45 in late trading, Sphere 3D Corp(NASDAQ:), which lost 15.10% and settled at 7.030. Columbia Banking System Inc (NASDAQ) was at its lowest point of 14.23%, falling to 33.68 minutes before the closing.
The New York Stock Exchange saw rising stocks surpass declining stocks by 1898 to 1282. 131 was left unchanged. On the Nasdaq Stock Exchange however, 2130 rose, 1440 decreased, while 164 remained unchanged.

Revance (NASDAQ:), shares dropped to 52-week lowest levels; dropping 25.09% (6.85 to 20.45).

EUR/USD fell 0.17% at 1.1531, but USD/JPY rose by 0.30% at 113.64.
