Germany’s new finance watchdog vows further supervision reforms By Reuters

FRANKFURT, Reuters – Wednesday’s new BaFin president vowed further effort to strengthen supervision of Europe’s biggest economy. This comes amid concerns that the current reform efforts are not sufficient.

Mark Branson stated in his first conference as the BaFin chief since he assumed the reins, that he was pleased by the pace and breadth the reforms.

He said, “But this is just the beginning of BaFin’s long-term growth.”
