LAS VEGAS (Reuters), Honda Aircraft Co. has unveiled plans to build a non-stop light business jet for flying across the United States. This is in response to the increasing demand for private transportation.

According to the company, it will seat 11 people and provide up to 20% more fuel efficiency than similar jets. Honda Aircraft’s new design was unveiled at the National Business Aviation Association Show in Las Vegas. It is considered the biggest business jet industry show. They did not provide any guarantees about the production of the aircraft or a schedule for accepting orders.

Honda Aircraft is a Japanese subsidiary of Japan’s Honda Motor Co Ltd that currently makes a HondaJet for six people.

Honda’s plans coincide with business aviation traffic soaring past pre-pandemic level, and some corporate jet operator having to turn down new clients. The COVID-19 law allows wealthy people to fly private, in smaller groups, as it is safer and easier than travelling commercially.
