Hyundai Motor says it wants to develop chips, cut reliance on chipmakers By Reuters

REUTERS/Wolfgang RattayBERKELEY (California) – Hyundai Motor’s global operational officer stated Wednesday that the company wants its own chips in order to lessen dependence on chipmakers.
The company’s global chief operating officer, Jose Munoz, also told reporters the worst has passed for the chip shortage, adding it had the “toughest months” in August and September.
