(Reuters) – Boeing (NYSE) Co announced on Thursday that it has appointed Heidi Grant (director of U.S. Defense Security Cooperation Agency, DSCA) as vice president for business development.

Grant will be joining the U.S. aircraft manufacturer on Nov. 8 and will head the defense, space, and government services sales departments.

Boeing stated that she was responsible at the DSCA for the administration of U.S. Department of Defense security cooperation programs, activities involving military articles, and training.

In more than 30 years, she has served in a variety of federal government positions, including the U.S. Navy, U.S. Air Force and other agencies.

Jeff Shockey was replaced by Grant. He left Boeing in July and became senior vice-president, global government relations at Raytheon Technologies Corp.
