MILAN, Reuters – Italy’s Leonardo stated Thursday it was an injured party after a sub-supplier allegedly supplied improperly manufactured components to Boeing’s 787 Dreamliner.

Boeing Co U.S. regulators reported Thursday that parts of the titanium Dreamliner 787 Dreamliner were manufactured improperly over three years.

The statement by the Italian government-controlled defense group stated that Leonardo was injured and is now under investigation by the prosecutors.

Leonardo said that Manufacturing Processes Specification, (MPS) was not its supplier anymore.
