Recent times have seen the United States jump on the cryptocurrency bandwagon. The Mayor of Miami and crypto enthusiast is the highlight. He stated that Miami wants to make it possible for city employees to be paid in Bitcoin.

Francis Suarez the Mayor of Florida, stated that he hopes to make Florida a hub for digital assets. As such, preparations are underway for the implementation of this plan in October. If the county approves, Miami residents can also pay fees or tax in Bitcoin.

Suarez also advocates for Florida to allow Miami to have Bitcoin in its balance sheets. The United States doesn’t allow cities to have Bitcoin at both the State and Federal levels.

If Bitcoin’s upward trend continues, it could reach $60,000 per month. The crypto’s value will rise as more countries adopt Bitcoin and consider it their Legal Tender. Only time will tell if Bitcoin can withstand the tests of time.
