Microsoft to shut down LinkedIn in China

LinkedIn recently released data that shows which skills are in demand as the market tries to gradually regain its footing following the dramatic decline of Covid-19.

MicrosoftThe announcement was made Thursday shut down its local version of LinkedIn in China. LinkedIn, the most important U.S.-operated social networking site still functioning in China was LinkedIn.

LinkedIn, which was founded in China in 2014, had limited features that were designed to conform to China’s stricter internet laws. Microsoft announced that LinkedIn would be shutting down due to “significantly harder operating environments and higher compliance requirements” in China. Microsoft instead plans to create a China-based job search website that does not include LinkedIn’s social functions.
