Pinterest co-founder Evan Sharp joins Jony Ive’s design firm By Reuters

(Reuters) – Pinterest, (NYSE) Inc, announced that Evan Sharp (OTC) has left the company in order to rejoin LoveFrom. LoveFrom is a new firm headed by Jony Ive. Ive was the original designer of so many Apple (NASDAQ):) products.

Sharp was the original creator of Pinterest and oversaw its explosive growth during the last decade. He most recently served the company as chief design officer and creative officer.

Sharp, Ben Silbermann (the company’s chief executive officers) and Paul Sciarra (who left the company in 2012), founded the online scrapbook/photo-sharing platform.

In a blog post, the company announced that he would transition into an advisory position and will still serve on the board.

Marc Newson and I founded LoveFrom, a design studio. The firm’s website states that LoveFrom is “a creative collective”. They include Airbnb Inc., an Italian luxury car manufacturer Ferrari (NYSE:).

Ive worked closely with Steve Jobs, Apple’s co-founder. He worked for more than 20 years at the tech giant, before he left in 2019. Ive was also responsible for designing the candy-colored iMacs which allowed Apple to recover from near death in 1990s and the creation of the iPhone.
