SINGAPORE (Reuters – Singapore’s economic growth was 6.5% during the third quarter. Preliminary official data were released on Thursday. These numbers are broadly consistent with forecasts by economists.

Surveyed economists by Reuters expected a growth of 6.6% for the third-quarter year-on-year, according to Reuters.

Due to the coronavirus-induced low-base in the previous quarter, the gross domestic product had increased 15.2% in the second quarter.
