Spain September final CPI at 4.0%, the fastest pace in 13 years By Reuters

(Reuters.) – The Spanish National Statistics Institute reported that September saw a 4.0% increase in consumer prices, which is the fastest rate of growth since September 2008, and was in line to Reuters’ forecast. This compares to 3.3% in August.
Spanish European Union Harmonized Prices rose 4.0% compared to a year ago, which is also a 13-year-record high.
Core inflation (which excludes volatile food and energy prices) was 1.0% in the past year, as opposed to 0.7% one month prior.
