UnitedHealth Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3 By Investing.com

UnitedHealth (NYSE) reported Thursday that the third quarter beat forecasts by Investing.com and that revenue exceeded all expectations.

UnitedHealth reported earnings per share at $4.52 on revenues of $72.34B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted an EPS of $4.41 for $71.3B in revenue.

UnitedHealth shares have increased 15% since the start of the year but are still 6.45% below its 52-week high of $431.36 on August 20. They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is up 16.18% from the start of the year.

UnitedHealth is following other financial sector earnings in this month

UnitedHealth’s Wednesday earnings beat was achieved by JPMorgan, reporting EPS of 3.74 on revenues of $30.44B. This compares to the forecasts of EPS $3 on revenue $29.86B.

BlackRock exceeded expectations with their third quarter earnings per share of $10.95 based on revenue $5.05B. That compares to forecasts for an EPS $9.6 based on revenue $4.82B.
