EVERETT WA (Reuters) – Some 200 Boeing employees (NYSE:) protested the COVID-19 vaccine requirements for U.S. workers.

Boeing announced Tuesday that it would require all 125,000 U.S. workers to get vaccinated before Dec. 8, according to an Executive Order issued by President Joe Biden. This executive order was for federal contractors.

Biden and his staff have had difficulty eradicating the coronavirus epidemic because large sections of the U.S. populace continue to refuse to receive safe, widely accessible vaccines.

One avionics engineer stated, “It is my choice, and it’s mine body,” as he was nearly drowned by anti-Biden protests and trucks cheering to support him along the busy road outside Boeing’s Everett factory, just north of Seattle.

He said, “It is an experimental drug given in a pseudo-emergency.”

A worker in an assembly plant said, “This is America.” One person may tell us that we should do something, but it’s not enough.

Boeing did not respond immediately to our request for comment.

Boeing stated earlier this week that employees have to show evidence of immunization or provide reasonable accommodations based upon a disability or religious conviction by December 8.

American Airlines (NASDAQ) and Spirit AeroSystems (NYSE), both major U.S. airlines, have stated they will adhere to the federal contractor deadlines.

Spirit Chief Executive Officer Tom Gentile said in a memo sent to employees, “Now that he issued the Executive Order,” which was seen by Reuters Friday.

Spirit called back its former employees to prepare for “one of most rapid increases in production rates” Gentile described as the industry’s history.

Boeing employees protesting the ban said they had applied for exemptions. Unsuccessful compliance with the mandate might lead to an engineer stating that he would rather seek out early retirement than take the mandatory exemptions. A Boeing engineer of 20 years claimed he’d rather find another job than get the COVID vaccine.

He stated that the vaccine was not safe and hasn’t been proven to be effective.

Boeing says its mandate doesn’t apply to Texas immediately. Republican Governor Greg Abbott has issued an executive order Monday banning any COVID-19 mandates from any organization, even private ones.

Boeing mechanic wearing a shirt reading “Practicing Socialist Distancing” said that the mandate was a reflection of “tyrannical Big-Government and tyrannical Big Business.”

He said, “I am against the mandate and the vaccine choice is personal.”
