DFINITY Foundation grants ICME a grant to build on the Internet Computer

ICME was awarded a grant from the DFINITY Foundation’s developer program to build on the Internet Computer.

ICME, a pioneering no-code website that allows users to create applications for the Internet Computer. Through ICME’s smooth, secure, and easy-to-use platform, users can deploy everything from blogs, storefronts, and even their own dapps — directly on the blockchain. ICME is open and available to both beginners and developers. It exists to assist visionaries in making their ideas a reality. You don’t need any code or manuals and there is no learning curve. Within a matter of months, the Internet Computer attracted thousands upon thousands of developers and hundreds upon thousands of users to its decentralized apps (dapps) within a short time. It was launched in May 2021.

Decentralized versions of Reddit, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Medium, Dropbox (NASDAQ:), and Trello — as well as DeFi platforms, NFT marketplaces and play-to-earn games — are already up and running with users on the Internet Computer.

DFINITY Developer Grant Program is designed to support promising developers, entrepreneurs and teams and to stimulate the development of the Internet Computer ecosystem. Every grant is intended to provide funding for projects that can focus on important development areas such as:

  • Developer tooling
  • Dapp infrastructure
  • Integrations and APIs
  • Open internet services
  • Kits for canister development (CDKs), and agents

DFINITY Foundation commits to providing grants that follow up on initial grants.

A total of $1,780,000 has already been committed to 93 projects from the nearly quarter of a billion dollars offered by DFINITY’s grant program since May 2021. It is one of the blockchain sector’s biggest developer grant programs. Here is a complete list of grant recipients as well as guidelines on how to apply.

Grants are a form of non-dilutive financing that can be used to finance projects in progress. These projects will solve critical problems for the future of the connected world.
