Mexico’s Femsa taps successor to CEO Padilla By Reuters

MEXICO CITY, (Reuters) – Mexican retailer and bottler Femsa announced Friday it had appointed Edurardo Padilla as its Chief Executive. Padilla will be retiring in January.

Daniel Rodriguez is the current leader of the Femsa Comercio section, including the huge chain Oxxo convenience store chains, and will take over as the company’s chief executive after joining in 2015.

Femsa stated in a statement, that Rodriguez would be focusing on growth and innovation, sustainability, inclusion and diversity.

Padilla will be retiring on January 1. He has been with Femsa for nearly 25 years, serving as chief executive and president since 2018.
