(Reuters) – A series of investigations are being launched by the U.S. State Department Inspector General into the termination of diplomatic operations in Afghanistan under the Biden Administration, Politico reported Monday, citing officials as well as documents.

According to the report, these reviews will be focused on the Special Immigrant Visa program (NYSE:), Afghans who were processed for refugee admission in the U.S. and resettlement and visa recipients.

Congress was notified by Diana Shaw on Monday as the acting inspector general of the department.
