Walmart+ members get first dibs on Black Friday deals

According to the retail giant, members will get Black Friday sales first. These customers are able to start online shopping four hours before other buyers throughout November.
By granting that special access, Walmart is betting it can boost its membership — particularly at a time when many holiday shoppers are already worried about out-of-stocks caused by global supply chain challenges.
Accenture’s August holiday shopping survey found that one-third of Americans are concerned about stock availability, and whether they will be able to purchase what they need or want during the holidays. A similar percentage stated that they would like to shop for holiday gifts earlier in the year.
A sizeable number — 36% — said they already have noticed empty shelves when shopping in stores and 26% said they have noticed more out of stocks when shopping online, according to the survey.

Walmart believes Walmart+ is a way for customers to be loyal and more likely to spend with them. AmazonIt has done so with Prime. It launched Walmart+ about a year agoJust before the holiday season ended, On a monthly basis, the membership costs $12.95 per month or $99 for a whole year. The membership program includes fuel discounts and access to an app which allows customers skip the checkout line. Customers also get unlimited grocery delivery to their home when they order $35 or more.
However, the retailer will not say how many customers have registered. Deutsche Bank estimates that Walmart+ Memberships have reached over 500,000 people as of last month. has grown to 32 million U.S. householdsIt is based on the monthly survey results of its consumers. It stated that these surveys indicate that membership growth is picking up.
Along with the Walmart+ perk, Walmart said it will stretch out its Black Friday deals throughout November — like it did last holiday season. Black Friday Deals for Days will break down into three events, each featuring different products, from electronics to toys. These deals will be available online as well as in-store. Walmart is offering the first deal day on Wednesday, November 3, online. In stores, it will be Nov. 5, in store.
