Investing.com – India stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

The index fell 0.08% at the NSE close.

These were the best performers of the session Tech Mahindra Ltd (NS): traded at 1542.45 after the close, up 4.24%. That’s 62.80 point. In the meantime Larsen & Toubro Ltd (NS: ) added 3.22% or 56.60 points to finish at 1846.05 Infosys Late trade saw Ltd (NS) rise 1.67%, or 30.00 points, to 1822.15

These were the worst performers of the session. ITC Ltd (NS), fell 6.32% (16.60 points) to trade at 245.95 after the close. Tata Motors Ltd (NS:) fell 4.95%, or 25.20 point to finish at 484.40 Eicher Motors Ltd. (NS 🙂 dropped 4.34% to 2703.70, or 122.65 Points.

The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were Tech Mahindra Ltd (BO:) which rose 4.12% to 1539.25, Larsen & Toubro Ltd (BO:) which was up 3.26% to settle at 1846.40 and Bajaj Finserv Ltd (BO:) which gained 1.99% to close at 19054.05.

ITC Ltd., which fell 6.23% to 246.10 by late trade, Hindustan Unilever Ltd.(BO:), which dropped 4.06% to settle in 2546.45, and Titan Company Ltd. (BO 🙂 were the worst performers at the close.

The India National Stock Exchange saw falling stocks surpass advancing by 324 to 1421 and then 36. However, the Bombay Stock Exchange witnessed 2274 stock declines and 907 advance, and 112 was unchanged.

Tech Mahindra Ltd. (NS:), shares rose to record highs. They rose 4.24%, or 62.80, to 1542.45. Shares in Larsen & Toubro Ltd (NS:) rose to all time highs; rising 3.22% or 57.60 to 1846.05. Informationsys Ltd. (NS:), shares rose to new heights, gaining 1.67% (30.00 to 1822.15). Tech Mahindra Ltd. shares (BO) reached all-time heights with a 4.12% increase or 60.95 points to 1539.25. Shares in Larsen & Toubro Ltd (BO:) rose to all time highs; up 3.26% or 58.30 to 1846.40. Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (BO:), shares rose to new heights, up 1.99%, or 371.30 to 190554

For December delivery, Gold Futures rose 0.71% to $1778.25 per troy-ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose 0.93 or 1.14% to reach $82.62/barrel, and December Brent oil, which rose 0.64 or 0.76% to trade at $84.97/barrel.

USD/INR fell 0.20% at 75.037 while EUR/INR rose 0.2% to 87.4705.

At 93.558, the US Dollar Index Futures fell 0.41%.
