Dow Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q3 -Breaking

Dow released its third quarter report on Thursday via Investing.com. It beat analyst’s forecasts with revenue that exceeded all expectations.

Dow declared earnings per share (EPS) of $2.75 on revenue $14.84B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted an EPS of 2.56 for revenue $14.26B.

Dow shares have risen 7% since the start of the year but are still 16.10% below its 52-week high of $71.38, set May 18. The Dow Jones is performing better than them, which has risen 16.35% since the beginning of the year.

Dow and other important Basic Materials sector earnings follow Dow this month

Dow’s earnings report comes after PPG Industries reported an earnings beat on Wednesday. They reported EPS at $1.69 for revenue $4.37B. This compares to PPG Industries forecasts of EPS at $1.59 for revenue $4.26B.

Akzo Nobel’s ADR missed its expectations Wednesday, with a third-quarter EPS at $0.3611 for $2.81B on revenue. This compares to the $0.3829 forecasted on revenue $2.95B.
