LONDON (Reuters] – The British government’s September borrowing was 21.778billion pounds (30.1 billion USD) according to the Office for National Statistics. That is just a little less than what economists had predicted at 22.6billion pounds in Reuters poll.

In the first six months of fiscal year, public sector borrowing fell to 108.1 Billion Pounds. That’s down from 101.2 Billion Pounds in April-September 2020 as the COVID-19 pandemic ravaged the public finances.
