Adobe mandates vaccines for U.S. employees by December 8

Software company AdobeU.S. workers were informed Friday to get vaccinated against Covid-19 no later than Dec. 8, or be put on unpaid leaves.

Adobe explained that the policy resulted from President Biden’s Executive Order requiring federal contractors to vaccinate all employees in an email sent to employees, which was viewed by CNBC.

Adobe Chief People Officer Gloria Chen sent the email. She also stated that 93% of U.S. workers who answered an internal survey had already indicated they are fully vaccinated, or have been through their entire series of vaccinations.

Chen stated that Adobe will consider medical and religious exemptions for employees who are unable to get the vaccine.

Adobe spokeswoman confirmed that Chen had sent the email to CNBC.
