India PM Modi says economy getting boost from rising vaccinations -Breaking

NEW DELHI (Reuters), India’s Prime minister Narendra Modi claimed on Friday that the rising number of vaccinations in the country is boosting economic growth. He also urged the citizens to shop locally for the upcoming holiday season.

Modi asked for COVID-19 vigilance and suggested wearing masks at festivals.

India has reached 1 billion vaccines, a major milestone in its immunization campaign. Three-quarters of India’s 944 million population has received at least one vaccine, while 31% have had to receive two.
