Japan ruling party heavyweight outlines economic security agenda -Breaking

TOKYO (Reuters), – Akira Amari, Secretary General of Japan’s Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), on Saturday presented the policy of economic security of the new Japanese government. She emphasized two pillars: “strategic independence and strategic indispensability.”

Amari explained that while the former refers in part to Japan not being dependent on foreign countries too much, the latter is about expanding Japan’s industrial base.
