Lyft records more than 4,000 sexual assault cases in long-overdue safety report -Breaking

(Reuters). Lyft Inc (NASDAQ:), received more than 4,000 reports about sexual assault on its ride hailing platform, between 2017-2019. The company detailed these incidents in a safety report that it promised to publish two years ago.

Late Thursday night, the company released a report that showed there had been an increase in sexual assaults on its platform from approximately 1,100 reports in 2017 to around 1,800 by 2019. The company claimed that more than 99 percent of their journeys were completed without safety incidents.
