(Reuters) – Alec Baldwin, a Hollywood actor shot a director and killed a cinematographer when he fired a prop gun while filming the movie “Rust”, on Thursday.

There have been many on-set incidents in the entertainment industry, including prop guns and car accidents.

Here is a list of high-profile incidents that occurred on set.

1959 – A stuntman is hurt in an accident during filming the race of the chariots in Hollywood’s epic, “Ben-Hur”.

1982 – Three actors are killed in a helicopter accident. Two of the victims were children. Six others sustained injuries on set of Twilight Zone: The Movie. The following year, the Production Team is found to have committed several labor violations. New safety standards were introduced in the industry.

1984 – Jon-Erik Hexum (26 years old) fatally shot himself with a loaded gun with a blank while working on “Cover Up”.

1993 – Brandon Lee (son of Bruce Lee the actor and martial artist) is accidentally shot in the stomach with dummy rounds. Lee dies at 28 after unsuccessful surgery that took six hours.

2003 – Lead actress Uma Thurman has a car crash that crushes her knees and leaves her with a concussion on the set of Quentin Tarantino film “Kill Bill”.

2007: A special effects technician who was involved in filming Batman’s movie “The Dark Knight” is killed in an accident. His vehicle collided with a tree after he had completed a run-through in a special effects facility.

2011 – A bizarre explosion causes the death of a stuntman and injures a second one on the sets of “The Expendables 2”, a sequel to the action movie.

2014: Harrison Ford (71) requires surgery to repair a fractured leg sustained when he was struck with a hydraulic door made of heavy metal on set for “Star Wars: The Force Awakens”.

2015 – An injured stuntwoman is seriously hurt in a bike accident on set of “Resident Evil, The Final Chapter”. This causes her to have her right arm amputated. A stuntman is later killed under the Hummer.

2017 – Female stunt driver dies on the set of superhero movie “Deadpool 2” in downtown Vancouver after she lost control of her motorcycle during a stunt and crashed through a window of a building across the street.
