WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – Democratic Senators Chuck Schumer & Joe Manchin continued talks in Delaware with President Joe Biden on Sunday while Democrats tried to agree on legislation regarding social spending. A person who was familiar with the situation told Reuters.

This person didn’t give any further details nor say if they had reached a consensus on a $2 trillion framework that would allow the House of Representatives next week to pass a $1 trillion bipartisan bill on infrastructure. It will also set the stage to enable Biden to introduce his larger social package, “Build Back better”.

Nancy Pelosi (House Speaker) said Friday that Democrats were closing in on an agreement on Biden’s social and climate change agenda. She also stated that they are narrowing differences regarding healthcare.
