Fiserv and Bakkt Announce Strategic Plan to Offer Crypto Services -Breaking

Investing.com — Fiserv Inc (NASDAQ:The companies announced Monday that a partnership was established between, a financial and payments technology company, and Bakkt Holdings Inc. (NYSE:), which is a digital asset platform.

It’s almost like Bakkt’s partnership with MastercardFiserv announced the partnership earlier today. This will enable consumers to purchase, sell, send, and spend various digital assets.

Bakkt shares were up 165% while Fiserv shares rose 0.7% Monday.

Bakkt’s digital asset platform and Fiserv’s vast capabilities, which include the ability to transfer funds between mobile wallets and into them, will make it possible for practical applications of cryptocurrency and new asset classes.” The company released a statement.

Bakkt is being integrated in Fiserv’s Carat platform. Businesses will have new ways to pay B2B, B2C, or loyalty points, as well as transactions that use crypto assets.

Fiserv stated that merchants would also be able to offer consumer experiences via an integration with Carat, and to roll out digital asset offerings.

Sunil Sachdev from Fiserv, Head of Fintech said, “Fiserv can connect merchants with financial institutions using a unified platform digital asset, laying foundation for an integrative digital ecosystem that can bring benefit and convenience to their clients and their customers.”
