India stocks higher at close of trade; Nifty 50 up 0.06% -Breaking


India stocks are higher after close of trade.

Investing.com – India stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.

The NSE closed with an increase of 0.06% and the index rising by 0.24%.

These were the best performers of the session ICICI Bank Ltd (NS:) rose 10.85%, or 82.40 point to close at 841.70. AXIS Bank Ltd. (NS:), which gained 3.48% (28.40 points) to trade at 845.10, and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation Ltd. was up 2.77% (or 4.35 points) to 161.40.

They were also the session’s worst performers Bharat Petroleum Corp. Ltd. (NS) fell 3.48%, or 15.55 point to trade at 431.70 at the closing. SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd (NS.:) lost 3.21% (37.50 points) to finish at 1129.70. Bajaj Finserv Ltd. NS.: was down 3.06% (571.00 points) to 18087.15.

The top performers on the BSE Sensex 30 were ICICI Bank Ltd (BO:) which rose 10.80% to 841.05, AXIS Bank Ltd. (BO:) which was up 3.45% to settle at 845.05 and Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd (BO:) which gained 0.71% to close at 4669.00.

Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (BO) was the worst performer, falling 3.04% at 18097.65 late trade. Bajaj Auto Ltd. (BO) was also down 2.3% at 3760.00. HCL Technologies Ltd. (BO) was at the close with a drop of 2.36% at 1165.95.

By 1370 to 411 and 36% respectively, declining stocks outnumbered ascending ones at the India National Stock Exchange. 36 was left unchanged. On the Bombay Stock Exchange 2209 declined and 977 advanced while 151 was the same.

Shares of ICICI Bank Ltd. rose to record highs. They gained 10.85%, or 82.40 to 841.70. AXIS Bank Ltd. (NS) shares rose to record highs with a rise of 3.48%, or 28.40 to 855.10. ICICI Bank Ltd. (BO:), shares rose to new heights, rising 10.80% or 81.95 – 841.05. AXIS Bank Ltd. shares (BO:), rose to record highs. They rose 3.45%, or 28.15 to 845.

The was up 0.3% to 17.6100, measuring the implied volatility for Nifty50 options.

For December delivery, Gold Futures rose 0.25% to $1800.75 per troy an ounce. Other commodities traded included Crude oil, which rose by 0.72 or 0.86% to reach $84.48/barrel, and January Brent oil, which rose 0.59 or 0.58, to trade at $85.22/barrel.

USD/INR increased 0.12% at 75.080. EUR/INR declined 0.10% to 87.28585.

At 93.743, the US Dollar Index Futures rose 0.13%.
