Moderna says its COVID-19 vaccine protective, safe in young children -Breaking

(Reuters). Moderna Inc stated Monday that COVID-19 generated a strong immune reaction and was well tolerated by children six- to eleven years of age, citing interim results from a study.

According to the company’s statement, they plan to soon submit data to U.S., European, and other regulators.

Moderna (NASDAQ:) The data revealed that two doses of 50 micrograms of vaccine generated antibodies against the virus in children. This is half of what was used for adults.

According to company statements, side effects tend to be mild-to-moderate in severity. Fatigue, headaches, fever, and pain at the injection site were some of the most commonly reported adverse effects.
