(Reuters) – Rogers Communications Inc (NYSE:) reiterated its support Sunday for Joe Natale, Chief Executive of Communications Inc. This was in response to Edward Rogers’ attempts to remove Natale from his Canadian position.

Rogers released a statement saying that he supports Joe Natale’s decision to become CEO. He also supported his management team.

Rogers’ board on Thursday expelled Rogers (son of Ted Rogers), who tried to replace Natale in the executive role. He was unable to reconcile with his sister and mother who were all fellow directors on the board and stated that they supported Natale.

After the chairman was ousted, the company stated that no other persons had the power to act on the board of Rogers. He tried to reconstitute it by replacing the director who were against him with his candidates.

The statement stated that the Rogers Communications Inc Board Board members “remain as duly elected members and represent the majority” of their members.
