The NSE closed with an increase of 0.79% and the index gaining 0.63%.
They were the top performers at the session Tata Motors Ltd (NS): The close traded at 508.65, rising 5.99% or 28,75 points. In the meantime Tata Steel Ltd (NS: ) was up 3.89% or 50.35 to 1343.65 SBI Life Insurance Company Ltd (NS) saw a 3.75% increase or 42.35 point to 1172.05 during late trade.
They were also the session’s worst performers IndusInd Bank Ltd. (NS): fell 1.94%, or 22.85 point to trade at 1154.90 by the close. ICICI Bank Ltd (NS.) dropped 1.46% (or 12.30 points) to finish at 829.40. Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (NS.) was down 1.7% (or 2.25 points) to 190.40.
Top performers in the BSE Sensex 30 index were Tata Steel Ltd. (BO) with a rise of 3.92% at 1345.25; Titan Company Ltd. (BO) was up 3.20% at 2456.80, and Nestle India Ltd. (BO) gained 2.91% at close at 19235.70.
IndusInd Bank Ltd., which dropped 1.92% to 1154.65 by late trade and ICICI Bank Ltd. which dropped 1.43% to settle to 829.00. Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. was also down 1.30% at the close.
Indian National Stock Exchange: Rising stocks outnumbered falling ones by 1344, 405 and 51 respectively. However, the Bombay Stock Exchange ended unchanged with 2123 rising and 981 declining, while 133 remained unchanged.
