Minima Raises $6.5M to Build ‘The Most Decentralized Network.’

Minima (the protocol for smartphones) has completed a Series A round of funding. It raised $6.5million from a number of investors including Vinny Lingham and Vinny Lingham. The investments will be instrumental in launching Minima’s Mainnet in 2022.

Innovative Innovations to Empower Users

Minima, which was founded in 2018, is a very lean and efficient blockchain protocol. It fully works on smartphones and Internet of Things devices (IoT), allowing each user to create and validate a node.

A variant of Proof of Work is used in the blockchain protocol. It requires very little computing power. Minima’s approach has allowed for a decentralized network to be created that can scale and include all users, but is also secure and adaptable.

Minima allows users to protect the Minima network in a decentralized, sustainable way. It also supports token transfers and smart contract support.

Minima Incentive Programme: Users can earn coins by simply downloading Minima to their Android phones or running Minima from a Windows PC or Mac.

Scalable Network

Minima is the best decentralized, immutable and scalable protocol on the current market thanks to its innovative design. Minima aims to become a fully decentralized platform on which all users can run a complete node.

Minima is rapidly approaching its launch in 2022. Minima already has over 5000 nodes installed across 94 countries. This Series A round of funding will accelerate the project’s release.

Minima Protocol supports both off-chain and on-chain transactions. Users can adjust the block size to suit their needs.

No special user classes are available, there are no master nodes or delegates and there is no mining. The protocol is very resource-intensive, so every user has a Complete Node. To attack the entire network system, it would be necessary to attack all of its users. There are therefore no central points of failure.

Minima recognizes that it is nearly impossible to scale through Layer 1. Therefore, the network will launch with Layer 2 solutions tethered the Base-Layer Blockchain.

Layer 1 (or Minima) is the base layer for verification and Layer 2 (or Maxima) is the transactional layer. Minima allows for the reduction in transaction fees and increases processing speeds by separating the layers.

“Our mission is to make a blockchain no one owns and controls, making it entirely decentralized. We will be able to raise the funds we need in order to launch Minima’s Mainnet by the middle of 2022.
Minima CEO Hugo Feiler

Blockchain’s Future

Vinny Lingham is enthusiastic about his investment in Minima because of the company’s value proposition for the future of blockchain technology.

Minima has the potential to be a keystone for the future value and information exchange. My investment is a direct investment in the next generation connectivity that will enable different applications of blockchain technology.
Lingham.

His belief is that everyone can run their own nodes without third-party involvement and will make it easy for everyone to use blockchain technology, which in turn will allow the industry to progress with mass adoption.

What are the reasons to care?

The potential for widespread adoption of blockchain is possible by creating a highly-lean, decentralized and secure blockchain protocol that can be used on both mobile and IoT devices.

To The Flipside

Minima needs a wide user base to ensure that the system is accessible at all times. The network is by its very nature requires that users be connected. Minima will need to make sure users get onboarded, as well as encourage active participation in their ecosystem to be successful.
