ADP Earnings, Revenue Beat in Q1 -Breaking

ADP announced Wednesday that it had exceeded analysts’ expectations and that the first quarter of its fiscal year was a success.

ADP posted earnings per share (EPS) of $1.65 for $3.82B in revenue. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS at $1.49 for revenues of $3.75B.

ADP shares were up 37.46% at the beginning of this year. They are down 0.61% from October 26’s 52-week peak of $220.14. They are outperforming the S&P 500 which is up 21.8% from the start of the year.

ADP’s earnings are in line with other services sector majors this month

ADP’s latest report is following an earnings beat by Visa A, which reported EPS $1.62 on revenue $6.56B on Tuesday. This compares to the forecasts of EPS $1.55 for revenue $6.52B.

Netflix beat all expectations with its third quarter earnings per share (EPS) of $3.19 on $7.48B in revenue, as compared to the forecast of EPS at $2.57 for $7.48B.
