Japan stocks lower at close of trade; Nikkei 225 down 0.03% -Breaking

Investing.com – Japan stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the , and sectors led shares lower.

Tokyo closed at 0.03%.

These were the best performers of the session Nitto Denko Co T:, which rose by 7.27% to 590.0 points and traded at 8710.0 at close. During the meantime, Hitachi Construction Machinery Co (T) added 7.6% or 245.0 to reach 3715.0 Ajinomoto Co., Inc. Late trade saw (T:), up 3.83%, or 126.0 points, to 3416.0

These were the worst performers of the session. Fujikura Ltd. T:, which dropped 8.33% (56.0 points) to close at 616.0 Tokyo Electric Power Co., Inc. (T) fell 6.23%, or 21.0 points, to reach 316.0. Canon Inc (T) dropped 5.89% (160.5 points) to 2566.5.

On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, falling stocks outnumbered those in progress by 2214 to 1273. 245 was unchanged.

The implied volatility index of Nikkei’s 225 options was unchanged at 0% and 22.14.

Crude oil was lower by 1.29%, or 1.09, to $83.56 per barrel for December delivery. Brent oil fell 0.88 or 1.03% to $84.77 per barrel in commodity trading. The December Gold Futures contract dropped 0.32%, or 5.75, to $1787.65 an troy ounce.

USD/JPY declined 0.19% at 113.92 while EUR/JPY dropped 0.09% at 132.20.

US Dollar Index Futures were down 0.7% to 93.873
