Altria Earnings, Revenue Miss in Q3 -Breaking

Investing.com – Altria reported Thursday the results of its third quarter. They missed analyst forecasts, and had revenue less than expected.
Altria reported earnings per share at $1.22 for revenue $5.53B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted EPS at $1.26 for revenue $5.87B.
Altria shares fell 6% in the first quarter, but are up 9.68% since its 52-week peak of $52.59 (March 26). The Nasdaq is performing better than them, which has risen 18.21% since the beginning of the year.
Altria follows other major Consumer/Non-Cyclical sector earnings this month
Altria’s report follows an earnings beat by Procter&Gamble on October 19, who reported EPS of $1.61 on revenue of $20.34B, compared to forecasts EPS of $1.59 on revenue of $19.83B.
Coca-Cola beat all expectations Wednesday, posting a third-quarter EPS figure of $0.65 on $10.04B in revenue. This compares to the $0.577 forecasted for revenue of $9.78B.
