Amazon.com Earnings, Revenue Miss in Q3 -Breaking

Amazon.com (NASDAQ) – Investing.com reported Thursday that the third quarter was disappointingly short of analysts’ expectations and that revenue fell below forecasts.

Amazon.com posted earnings per share (EPS) of $6.12 for revenue $110.8B. Investing.com polled analysts and predicted an EPS of $8.91 for revenue $111.62B.

Amazon.com shares rose 5% over the first of the year. However, they are 8.61% off their 52 week high, $3,773.00 on July 13. They are under-performing the S&P 500 which is up 22.37% from the start of the year.

Amazon.com is following other important earnings from the Services sector this month

Amazon.com reports on Tuesday after Visa A beat them with earnings. Visa A reported EPS at $1.62 per share on $6.56B in revenue, while forecasts were for EPS at $1.55 on $6.52B.

Netflix beat all expectations with 3Q EPS at $3.19 on $7.48B revenue, as compared to 2Q EPS forecasted at $2.57 for $7.48B revenue.
