WASHINGTON, (Reuters) – The U.S. President Joe Biden will give an update about negotiations regarding his domestic spending plans. He also plans to speak with Democrats. Biden then travels to Europe on Thursday to meet with leaders around the world.

Biden will give public remarks at 11:30 am (1530 GMT), at the White House. He is speaking hours after House Democrats meet in Capitol Hill at 9 am (1300 GMT), to continue discussions about costs and provisions.

According to The Washington Post, the president will announce that Democrats agreed to a revised framework of his social spending plan. This plan should win him the support from all Democrats. The planned announcement was reported by Fox News as well as NBC News.

A request to comment was not received by the White House.

The question of whether Biden can pass either a $1.5 trillion framework in Social Spending or an $1 trillion companion bill on Infrastructure remains unanswered.

Biden will still travel to Rome, where he will meet leaders of the G20 and visit the U.N. Climate Change Conference will be held in Glasgow, Scotland. There is no final legislation and there are still many questions. The United States wants to encourage other nations to take similar measures.
