ZURICH, (Reuters) – Clariant anticipates additional raw material cost increases, but is optimistic it can pass those on to its customers through increased prices. Stephan Lynen, chief financial officer of Clariant said Thursday.

He stated, “We still see an accelerating yet continuous price inflation in raw materials. That means that you are constantly coming up with new price lists.” After reporting on the third quarter of results by Swiss specialty chemicals manufacturer, Isochem, he added.

He said, “We don’t see that stopping in Q4,” adding that many customers would experience a time lag between when the Clariant price rises took effect and any contracts they had with them.
