Gilead posted earnings per share (EPS) of $2.65 on revenues of $7.42B. Investing.com polled analyst to predict EPS at $1.74 for revenue $6.25B.
Gilead shares have risen 15% since the start of the year but are still 8.21% below the $73.34 high it reached on August 18. The Gilead shares are performing poorly compared to the, which has risen 22.42% since the beginning of the year.

Thermo Fisher Scientific beat all expectations Wednesday, posting a third quarter EPS (EPS) of $5.76 on revenues of $9.33B compared with EPS forecasted at $4.68 for revenue of $8.33B.
